Translation

Noble, Honorable, highly Esteemed and most Prudent Lord:

Your letter by the galliot was received by me on the 2nd of this month. I shall answer it by the same galliot which will depart in four or five days. This serves only to inform you that I happened to meet Andries Hudden here who is about to come up and has agreed to deliver this to you immediately.

Mr. Alrichs has consented to put the galliot at your disposal for the service of the Company. He says that presently he has no need for a yacht. If you have anything to send down, it can be done through private skippers and he will pay the freight on it as others do.

Concerning my horse-hill: I no longer have it at my disposal since I sold it last August to Mr. Hinoyosse. I have informed him of your request and he said that he will have a reply to it when the galliot departs.

In closing, I commend you to God's protection with wishes for an enduring and prosperous administration; I remain, after cordial greetings.
