Description
Comfrey grows very well in the climate of New Netherland. As an addition to a medicinal garden, it was believed to help heal broken bones. It has also been associated with healing skin.
In modern times, the FDA has banned the use of this plant for internal medicine. It is part of the Borage family of plants.
The leaves of Comfrey also assist in creating high value compost for growing other plants.
