We, Willem Kieft, etc... conceded and granted to Gorge Rapaelje a piece of land named Rumegaconck formerly purchased from the Indians as appears by the conveyance; located on Long Island at the bay of Merechkawick, east of Jan Monfoort's land; extending past the aforesaid's land southward into the woods 242 rods by the stream and marsh; easterly 390 rods; and the fresh marsh 202 rods south into the woods; and behind in the woods 384 rods westward, with some points at the marsh; containing altogether 167 morgens 406 rods; with the express condition and stipulation that etc...

Done the 17 June 1643 in Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland.
