Document: Appointment of magistrates for Breuckelen

Having received and read at the session the nomination made by the schout and schepens of the village of Breuckelen with the request that the director general and councilors be pleased to fill therefrom the positions of the aforesaid schepens who, pursuant to instructions, have served out their time and are to step down; therefore, the director general and councilors of New Netherland have selected and confirmed from those nominated in the position of the schepen Fredrick Lubbersen for the coining year, as they hereby select and confirm as schepen for the village of Breuckelen: Albert Cornelisse, Jores Dircksz, and Joris Rapailje. Thus done in our session held at Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland. Ady ut supra.
