Occupation Types
Description

The occupation of setting glass into window frames.   Glass for windows in New Netherland generally arrived in small rectangles packed into boxes on ships that brought it in from the Netherlands.    Glaziers then used lead to assemble windows of a variety of sizes to fit each house.  These were generally very simple.

Church windows sometimes had a small stained glass or painted glass medallion or larger design.
