Description
Passenger Pigeons were so numerous in the 17th Century that it was said that they darkened the skies for 3 weeks when they began their annual migration.
A basic food source for the Native Americans, they are listed by Nicassius de Sille specifically as a trade item that they would bring to New Amsterdam to sell to the European settlers.
