Object: Apothecary Jar

Apothecary jars were produced in Delft, Portugal, the middle east, and also in Spain.    An apothecary in New Netherland might have jars from a variety of sources.    These might contain powders or herbs, and were often sealed with parchment or leather tied with a string.
