Lot: K5 (Taxlots)

This was the small dwelling of Cornelis Hendricksen, of Putten, known as "Tambour." The drummer was employed in New Amsterdam as one of the Company's labourers at the warehouse and dock. This was vacant land on the tax-list of 1677, "The other Corner old house & ground front to y° Wall 22 foot to y^ street 26." — M. C. C, I: 55.
