Translation

Cornelis Harmensen Prins, who on August 27th 1657 sailed out of Amsterdam on the yacht Diemen as sailor in the service of the Chartered West India Company, chamber Amsterdam, appeared in the meeting, showing that on the 8th of December last he was made high boatswain by lord Matthias Beck, vice director at Curaçao, because the high boatswain switched to another vessel as navigating officer. Therefore, he requests improvement of his monthly allowance.
