We, the undersigned, attest, testify and declare at the request of Jan Willemsz from Leyden, that it is true and truthful that we know that Jan from Leyden executed a power of attorney and an account of what he earned at Curacao and sent it over with the power of attorney to his father Willem Pomsen by the ship De Princes. We declare this to be true and truthful, offering to confirm the same on oath. This day, the 10th of August 1649, New Amsterdam.
