Translation

We, Capt[ ain W ]illem Albertsen Blauvelt and [ Antoni Crol ] [1] of the frigate La Garce, binding ourselves for all the other participants, hereby acknowledge that as part owner and contributor toward the fitting out of the aforesaid frigate we have accepted and admitted the person of Jacob Stoffelsen, who has contributed and paid in the sum of three hundred and fifty guilders, which is received and accepted by us as a just tenth share of the equipment of the aforesaid frigate, for which we promise to give him, Jacob Stoffelsen, good satisfaction in every respect, binding to that end our persons and properties and especially the frigate and the appurtenances thereof. In testimony and token of the truth this is signed. Done the 8th of October anno 1643, in Fort Amsterdam, New Netherland.
