Named in the Indian Deed for Staten Island in 1657 as one of the hereditary owners of Staten Island.   More research needed.   

His mark and the Dutch scribe's notation from this document is included above.

Waerhinnus signed this document twice at postions 1 and 19. Along with Teringh and Mattenow these 3 were the final signers, perhaps they 'ratified' the document in this manner?
