Named in the Indian Deed for Staten Island in 1657 as one of the hereditary owners of Staten Island. More research needed.
His mark and the Dutch scribe's notation from this document is included above.
Note: Teringh signed this document twice, in positions 12 and 18. He along with Waerhinnus Couwe and Mattenouw of Hespatingh were the final signers. Perhaps they had some greater status within the group of signers, more research needed.
