Wyandanch, a Sachem of the Montauketts, eventually became Grand Sachem of the Long Island tribes.  Wyandanch was married to Wuch-i-kit-taw-but. They had a son named Wyancombone, and a daughter named Quashawam.

A shrewd negotiator,  he  established  a strong relationship with Lion Gardiner, and thus with the English colonists.
